Atomic media works uses personalized marketing by L2 to motivate immediate response
to Metro Nissan of Redlands campaign
Atomic Media Works is a group of

Redlands, California. March 25th, 2008 - Atomic media works, uses
fuse by L2, to generate an astounding 2400% return on investment ($106,000 in gross
profit from a $4250 investment) over an 8 week period for a Metro Nissan of Redlands
campaign.
An Atomic Media Works customer campaign:
In January 2008, Atomic Media Works designed and produced a personalized
direct mail linked to a Personal URL for Metro Nissan of Redlands, a local Nissan
dealership for the Redlands area. This allowed the dealership to generate an astounding
2400% ROI over a short 8 week period.
How it was done:
The personalized flyer was sent to 4,850 previous customers who had not visited
the dealership within the last 6 months to 2 years, with the primary goal of getting
service appointments with these customers.
Using customer information that included the customer’s vehicle type and model,
last service date and last recorded mileage, the Metro Nissan dealership was able
to create customized offers that included service specials and coupon prices for
car accessories - dash covers, portable DVD players, floor mats and performance
accessories. At the same time, both the direct mail and Personal URLs featured the
new Nissan car models that customers could test-drive at the dealership.
Each personalized flyer included a link to a Personal URL with the format
www.myservicespecials.com/firstname.lastname,
where
firstname and
lastname
are replaced by the customers’ first and last name in each printed piece.
Using this URL, each customer was able to access their own personalized landing
page, where they could schedule service appointments, print other service coupons
or get directions to the dealership by using a form that was pre-populated with
their customer information. Further, Atomic Media Works was able to design a format
that made it easy for customers to make an appointment and update the dealership
of any changes to contact information.
Campaign Results:
By the end of the initial campaign period on February 20th, 2008, 171 of past customers
visited their webpage and 34.7% of them scheduled an appointment with the dealership.
Tony Wilcox, President of Atomic Media Works, reports a customer ROI of 655% for
customers that had not been into the dealership in 9 months and 467% for customers
that had not been into the dealership in the past 12 months or more. The campaign
is still generating results, long after the initial period, exceeding expectations
of the customer and Atomic Media.
